Singer Denise Jannah recently took part (vocal and lyrics) in the recordings for a new CD of the Amsterdam Jazz Sextet. She graduated from the Hilversum Conservatory. Denise can be heard on many recordings, including a number on the jazz label Blue Note. Denise won numerous prizes (among others Edisons) and had many performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival. She has worked with Jon Hendricks, John Hicks, Kenny Barron, Willem Breuker, Rick Margitza, Cyrus Chestnut and Bob Belden.
